During these unprecedented times, I want to let you know that I am very much still open for business and I am committed to conducting business as usual to deliver the best outcomes for you. For the time being we have suspended face to face appointments but can complete appointments over the phone, email or video chat options.

2020 has seen us support customers and our community through fires, floods and now Covid 19. As always we are committed to supporting our customers through these challenging times. We are here for you through the life of your loan and beyond.

Some people will be looking into financial uncertainty. I am available to assist you in managing this. I want to ensure you understand your redraw facilities, offset accounts, your rights in regard to mortgage 'repayment holidays', applying for financial hardship with your bank, and how you might take advantage of the RBA rate cut.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced a new round of economic stimulus yesterday. Part of this package is a JobKeeper payment to help employers keep their staff employed. Employers need to register to get the information and apply for this payment once it's released.

This is going to be vitally important for our fellow local businesses in our area to keep trading through the slower winter months, after the slow summer, and with the continuing shut downs. Make sure you check if your business is eligible and sign up if you are.

BUSINESS UPDATE: This weekend saw huge changes to the way businesses need to operate to stay within the guidelines provided by the Federal and State Governments. We want to ensure our customers we are going to keep operating, and have the ability to work remotely if needed. We're here for you no matter what happens, and we won't stop working to make sure your applications are moved through as quickly as possible.

We are making changes to the way we operate for the short term. We're going to try and limit face to face appointments as much as possible. We can organise pick up and drop off of documents for customers and appointments over the phone, Skype, Zoom or email. We need to ensure our staff stay healthy so we can continue to stay operational and servicing our customers.

We will also be assisting people and local businesses accessing the lender grants and hardship programs that were announced last week. Please have patience with us as we work through this with the lenders. While they announced the highlights of their plans, their are some really important bits of information missing that we need to clarify so you can make informed decisions about accessing these programs.

Follow the guidelines being provided by the Health departments, stay safe and be sensible.

MAJOR NEWS: The Reserve Bank of Australia - RBA has had an out of cycle meeting and REDUCED the official cash rate by 0.25%. The official cash rate now sits at 0.25%.

This makes the second reduction within a month in response to the growing financial concerns from the effects of the Corona Virus.

This is an emergency move, and unheard of. We're going to be keeping you updated in the comments. So make sure to "follow" the post to see what lenders will apply this to their products.

RELIEF PACKAGES AVAILABLE: We know the ramifications of the current corona virus are going to hit our community hard after an incredibly difficult summer.

If you are finding yourself in a tough position financially, please come and have a chat. Many lenders have extended their relief packages to those affected by the extended issues arising from the impact of the corona virus. There are options available to help assist get through while you may be financially impacted due to a downturn in business or missing work due to having to be self-isolated.

We want to help where we can. We have a wide network of contacts with lenders we can use to get you the help you need. All conversations are strictly confidential and can be completed over the phone or email if needed.

Remember to listen to the guidelines being provided by the relevant health authorities and keep yourself, and those around you, safe.

Our community has seen a truly awful start to the New Year. Our thoughts are with everyone affected. To the brave men and women who have spent their Christmas and New Year working to fight these fires our community cannot thank you enough.

To those who have had their properties damaged lenders have enacted their Disaster Relief Packages. What can we say. A massive thank you to everyone who donated to our 10th annual Christmas Hamper drive this year. A huge TWENTY SIX hampers are on their way out to very deserving local families to brighten their holidays. We are blown away at our incredible community who dug deep to donate with everything else going on in our area at the moment. Thanks to our friends at Noahs and the William Campbell Foundation for their help coordinating and getting these to the local families doing it tough.We also want to give a special thanks to Lisa, our Receptionist, who organises the hamper drive and puts the personalised hampers together for the families. It's a huge task and we know the recipients are going to be so grateful for her hard work

The Milton Ulladulla District Tennis Association is hosting the 2019 South Pacific Tennis Open again next week starting Wednesday the 18th December with finals being played on Sunday 22nd December. They have 118 entries of talented up and coming ranked Australian players who will be battling it out on the court for a share of the $8000 prize money and ranking points. It's an absolutely fantastic event happening in our community bringing some of the best players right to our doorstep.

We're excited to announce that we are, again, sponsors of the Dash for Cash which will be played on Friday 20th December. The event is a fast paced game where all the players join in for mixed doubles grabbing CASH for every point they win. Make sure to come along and see the action!

We're absolutely thrilled to be able to represent our local area on a national stage like this. As a small, locally owned and run business we are always honoured just to make it as a finalist let alone win.
